Re: Winchester 748 powder

Some of the best groups I've had was with W748 and 168 AMAX at 42.0 and 44.0 grains... about .2". They shot the same group size and of course there was a POI shift. The 44.0 load had hard bolt lift so I abandonded it.

Re: Winchester 748 powder

Re: Winchester 748 powder

Win 748 with Nosler 125 Bal tips. Sub MOA consistently out to 300 with a rem700. I need to read a bit more - didn't know Win sold their line of powders.

Re: Winchester 748 powder

748 brings back old memories. I started loading rifle ammo 35 years ago and it was some of the first powder I used. It worked in 30-06, 308 and in 7mm-08 for me for years. It always gave me great performance.

Re: Winchester 748 powder

I use it in .222 Rem, .223 Rem, 30-30 Win, .303 Brit, and .308 Win.

A great powder for reloading so many different rifle calibres.

748 and 2208/Varget are the two powders I use for rifles apart from H110 for .300 Whisper.
