I know that on a Remington with bdl bottom metal that the mag box needs to float inbetween the bottom metal and action. My a3g just got new dbm in the form of ptg/ai ae mk1 mags. It took a little file work on the dbm to fit into the bedded floorplate inlet. I thought it would be less risky then trying to open up the inlet, it now fits like a glove and can go back to the factory floorplate and be just like factory. I noticed when i torqued the stock bolts down that the boss on the dbm makes contact with the action. The boss is just a tunnel that goes up into the stock and helps support/align the mag. In my head the contact is bad and could keep the action from being fully pulled down in the bedding. It appears that 5 minutes with a file on the top of the boss, front and back sides, would cure the contact issues. There are no pillars in the stock, just factory a3g bedding . Rifle hammers in the .3s before dbm, haven't shot it yet with the dbm. Like i said it just seems to me that the two shouldn't touch ( action and dbm). Thanks for any help.
