Would you recommend a window mag or do you regret paying the $5 for the window??

Im going to get some p mags and some window mags.. Just If people who have the window mags never utilize the window or figured it could have been $5 better spent.

Whats your input? Yes or no?

Just wanna ask the guys who have one of each if they figured now that the extra $5 each could have been better spent? Ill be ordering about 6 so would you say go with the windows you wont regret it.. Or use the $30 else where?

Ive only used the normal Pmag on a buddies gun. Never tried the window mags or seen one..

Re: Window P mags.. Yay or nay?

I have both and if you are looking to stretch your money further go without it.

If you are using them for competetion then maybe you would want the windows if you are just using for range work or general blasting I would say no need for windows!

Re: Window P mags.. Yay or nay?

The window PMAGS are nice, there is an orange indicator painted on the magazine spring to let you know how much ammo you have left in the magazine. When you load the magazine full you can only see about five cartridges in the window so the orange indicator is essential. I like mine a lot and I definitely think they are worth it.

I'm not sure where you are buying from but check out bravo company usa, the difference between the two is $2.90. http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/SearchResults.asp?mfg=Magpul

Re: Window P mags.. Yay or nay?

I am issued the windowed version but I have never been in any situation in which I have looked at the window to see how many rounds are left in the mag.

IMO $5 is better spent somewhere else.

Re: Window P mags.. Yay or nay?

All of the strenght test of the pmag is without the window. I stayed away from them due to strenght concerns and don't miss them .I say by more mags with the money you save.

Re: Window P mags.. Yay or nay?

When I shoot 3 gun we are limited to 10 rounds in the mag. I wish I had the windowed mags just so I could tell when I only had 10 rounds in the mag.

I am considering cutting a window or drilling a hole in the side of my pmags. I have gone to the shooting line only to realize that I grabbed the wrong mag and had to borrow a mag to shoot the stage.

I would say yay or nay depends on what you plan on doing.
