A distributor has to tell Remington: "If you make 'this' I will order XXXXX units...Here's the PO, when can I expect delivery???"
As long as the number of units covers the cost of the tooling and still make a profit, it will happen. It won't be a catalog item, but they will be out there.</div></div>
Acusport is the one doing all the 5R guns right now, both Remington and Savage.
The problem is the minimum order, 100 might be worth the gamble but 500 might be hard to swallow. I was looking forward to the AAC 260 that was supposed to be sommething like a 700P with a threaded barrel.
I am having a hard time not ordering a Tikka Sporter in 260 I just wish the long barrel was threaded like the short one
