Re: Woman caught dumping cat in trash bin
I agree, animal cruelty for cruelty's sake is not a good thing. I am just not sure why (other than the fact that it would be dead) it would be better to dump a mouse in the bin after it has slowly died of poisoning, been crushed by a trap etc.. I have to be honest, I shoot whistle pigs for sport... I smile when I make a shot on a small squirrel out past 100 yds, an even wider smile when it comes down in two pieces.... I don't worry about their suffering if they manage to get back down the hole. I have a dog that is a great companion, but it's just a dog. I would not let it fight, but in my opinion Michael Vic got a raw deal, sure, fine the heck out of him, but sending a human to jail for fighting dogs is crazzzzy. People that beat their wives and kids don't get as much time in jail. For crying out loud, we inject animals with every kind of malady we can find to attempt to find a cure, or determine if a cosmetic will raise a rash. Other than moral justification, there is no difference. This is part of the wusification of America, we now have to be worried that the fish is stressed when we catch and release? Is it torture? Bottom line for me (IMAO) is that animals don't have rights, people do. A person that would torture an animal to see it suffer has a severe character flaw.. other than that WTF?
