wow +1 for .22's

I was out shooting for real this time with the .22 i just bought. marlin 981t

Its very fun to shoot with. i never gave it the credit they deserve.

as far as the recoil its a love and hate.

but very very fun rifle to go and smack paper with. i will indeed buy another for the misses.

low on change but want to have some fun .22 all the way. my two cents fyi

I'm a huge fan of rimfires. Shoot a lot and don't think about how much you're spending.

Love my .22(J.C.Higgins mod41 w/ CenterPoint4-16x40), take it to the range every weekend. Helps w/ teaching the wife to shoot a rifle, so she doesn't get beat up by the recoil of the .270 she hunts with, and learn bad habits like flinching. Put a couple hundred rounds a week, just good fun cheap trigger time. Even more fun when you stretch out to 100yds or more.

I have a J.C Higgins model 80 .22lr which was actually a renamed High standard 101 made for Sears. It is a fun little pistol to plink with and plenty accurate.
