I don't play the lotteries but I decided to buy a ticket yesterday on the way home. I came to a little Marathon station and went in to find about half a dozen people in line and found out later some local people were buying between $500 and $700 on tickets, I just bought one. I got up this morning and heard someone in South Carolina hit the big jackpot so I checked my ticket and I won $4. Wow how lucky was that! I'm up $2

Stick with scratchers. I only buy the $3 and $5 ones and I have never lost any money on them. Stay away from the $1 ones unless you're just getting a cheap gift for a friend.

    I'd buy a pony!

Tax code should be changed so that anyone due a refundable tax credit could forgo the credit for a chance to win $10 million. The lottery is a perfect example of how to get people to pay taxes.

Funny thing is, while sad at the same time, its the way the government recaptures the money they pay people to sit on their couches.

Its not the middle or 1 percent classes that blow the bigger share of their "income" on gambling.

Better to give people EBT than food stamps because you cant use food stamps for "other" things.

I'd love to have enough money to farm for a living.

You couldn't pay me enough money to do that shit again! I worked on farms from age 12 up until I was 15 or 16 until I was of legal age to work at the shitty Rite-Aid job. Much respect to those who have to do that as a way of life, but for assholes like me who chose to do it, fuck that!

I am just grateful that the yield on the corn and beans is so low that the huge hit to the markets won't affect us as much. The lottery would please the banker.
