Just got a great deal in a Remington 700 chambered in .270WSM. I dont really need it but it was too good of a deal to pass up. I'll probably try it out a couple times during deer season. Heres my ?... Are the WSM's still a regular short action? I already have a .300WSM and reloading data/equipment for it. Can I switch out the .270WSM barrel for a .300WSM? That way I would have a .300 to hunt with and one for targets.

Re: WSM Info Needed

I got it out this afternoon and had a little time to play with it. After a couple hours of trigger work, free-floating, and lapping I headed to the range. To my wonderful luck it started to rain just as I took the first shot. I shot two 3-shot groups, both measuring under an inch... I didn't take the time to get an exact measurment because it was raining pretty hard. But I'm very pleased with that considering the $200 scope I mounted on it with factory ammo. May leave it as is for now but will be looking a lil further into either a .300WSM or 7mmWSM barrel swap... Either way I've gotta come up with another stock. These new Remington Stock are junk!
