Not sure whether this is the right place to put this, but...

For those of you who like burning powder at the range with an AK or SKS, I am interested in locating some spent BRASS 7.62x39 cases for a couple of projects.

Would prefer boxer-primed, but if you have lots of berdan-primed BRASS (only) cases, I would be interested in hearing what you have.

Please try to describe the brass when you PM me (ie: boxer/berdan, LR/SR primer, headstamp info, etc.)

Thanks.

Re: WTB: 7.62x39 brass

If you are thinking about using it to make Grendel brass, I would recommend against it. It isn't cost effective, and the resulting cases don't last long.

By the time you add in the primer, bullet, and powder to fire form the brass, you reduce the savings quite a bit.

The resulting brass has a large primer pocket, and the ones I used got too loose to be safe after 2-3 firings. Plus case necks split much sooner than the Lapua cases.

I made up one batch once, and never did it again. It was too much work, and it wasn't cost effective for even the low quality cases I got.
