I would love to get another lever action in 357 mag, especially one with the m-lok or keymod forend. I’m fine getting one without the rail as long as I can add it. Something like the picture below. Trades are plentiful, but otherwise I’ll pay cash for one of these. Will consider 44 mag as well but 357 is definitely top pick.

Have you ever thought about a “Mare’s Leg” like Steve McQueen had on the tv show “Wanted, Dead or Alive”. That’s a bad mofo especially in 44-40. Just saying

Good luck man. I've been looking for a base model for my old man for a month or two now. Gun broker is about all I could find. The CST and CSBL models are going for like $1400+ on there.

They don't make a keymod rail to my knowledge. Midwest Industries makes an M-lok rail, and Ranger Point Precision makes a polymer and an aluminum M-Lok rail for them as well.

Personally I would be patient and wait for a .357 unless you already shoot and reload for .44 mag. I'm not a fan of these in 44 mag.

Once my 9mm can comes back from jail, mine will pretty much be complete. They're sick and super fun.
