So I did something dumb and got an AI AX CIP chassis assuming it would fit my Stiller Tac338. Didn’t realize that while the action screw spacing is the same, the front of the action is longer and the recoil lug sits clear in front of the inlet. Oops.
That being said, I’m after one of the following chassis for my 338:
- MPA
- XLR Evo
- MDT ESS
I have a whiskey 3 CIP TAC338 or an AI AX 338 CIP for trade as a possibility too. I love the KRG but the forend is too short for this massive 32 barrel so it tips forward on a bipod. Before adding more weight to the rear I figured I would try to find a chassis with a 15” forend like the ones above. Let me know if you want to sell me one or trade.
