Looking to pick up a 20” tikka prefit in 6.5 prc, 6.5 saum, 7 prc, 7 saum, 6.8 Western ext. carbon preffered but fluted steel would be okay. Would also consider 22”.

If you reqlly want a 6.5 PRC, then go it. Just,remind yourselt that the new whiz bang is no different than, a 6.5-o6 or a 6.5 Rem Mag from the old days

From a strict velocity perspective, they’re all close. However. High quality brass and dies are avaliable for the PRC. No necking down. No fire forming.

No dealing with a belt like the 6.5 RM.

6.5-06 is generally slower unless you improve it. Both the 06 and 6.5 RM also require a long action, where the prc CAN be run in a short and was designed for a short. The PRC also just has way more support when it comes to factory ammo, rifles, ect.

I’m not saying those calibers don’t have their merits, and aren’t good, but they aren’t exactly the same.

The PRC has several notable advantages.

LOL the 6.5 Rem was in a Remigton 600 Mohawck. As short action as can be. The 6.5 -06 can do same velicities with appilicable barrel lenthings. People love what they love

Lets talk Creemoore. Mordern case desighn...Yes. Does that make it better? I know others that would swear by 6.5x55. how about the 260? Let alone the 6.5's other children.
