This has massive implications, since it is perfectly legal to manufacture handguns and rifles. And even to sell them... And, arguably, if not selling across state lines, then there is no federal jurisdiction....

This may or may not be a game changer. What is a game changer is that the technology is coming... it's here for many. And in a decade, will be so prevalent that any kind of 'gun control' will be a joke.

They'll try 'ammo control' but in small volume, caseless ammo is going to be printable. The only question that will remain... how complex will the printed designs get? Well, they're printing the turbine fan blades in jet engines... that work at 1200 degrees and huge mechanical forces. So... the designs will get really interesting! Additive manufacturing lets you do things that you can only dream of with machine tools!

Buying a 3D printer was a good idea for me several years ago. I'd like to get an even better one eventually. The usefulness is hard to estimate. I can make damn near anything I need as long as it fits within the constraints of my machine.

The parts I make are pretty hard to break, too. I've got stuff that has experienced daily abuses ranging from high temperatures, humidity, solvents, and strong kinetic forces being applied for years without any sign of giving up.

While I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment of your statement and share your enthusiasm, how about we call them fellators, cumzzlers, smutages, goober goblers, penis ventriloquists, sperm hoovers, grambos or any other creative take on "cock sucker"? Bagpipes are an extremely difficult instrument to master requiring discipline and countless hours of practice. Furthermore the pipes were deemed an instrument of war and were banned by the english with their Disarming Acts of 1746. My point being that real "bagpipe blowers" are actually pretty cool.
