Selling this shotgun for a friend. Has been sitting up for years believe it was assembled in the mid 90’s. Asking $2100 shipped. No trade please.

SP2 typically have deep relief engraving on the side plates. SP1 and SP3 have the light relief. However the wood on your friends gun looks like SP1 wood.
Upload a photo of the bottom of the action.

Every SPII I have ever seen had game scenes, the wood on this not only looks like that of an older SP1 but the side plates do as well. OP might want to do some checking with the owner because that would have huge impact on the value of the gun.

Not knocking it. Beauty looking gun, but that’s the identical scroll work to my 686 Silver Pigeon 1.
Can we see the bottom of the receiver?
Edit: I Think that’s an 686 SP1.

Still a great gun, and your price is pretty much on point regardless.

It appears to be a Silver Pigeon 1. The asking price is not in line for a used 24 year old gun when they sell new for $1900 all day long with oil finished wood sets. No offense OP, I am not trying to trash your listing, I am just letting you know the market on this model and what to expect from it. Hit up the crowd over on shotgun world and ask about a fair value, I am willing to bet they suggest $1200-1500. I hope this helps.

somewhat interested. but have a question. is the stuff here in the photo grease or corrosion - any corrosion on the barrels or the rest of the gun

Good question, that is just grease. I had to rub the black off my finger after touching it.
But when I get back home this afternoon I'll give it a run over and inspect it from top to bottom.
