WTS-Sig Sauer SSG 3000 308 24 in barrel 5 Rd mag. 1200 rounds. 2 stage trigger, 60 degree bolt. Long action.11 twist. These start at $2400 over on gunbroker. These are getting harder and harder to find.
$1500

Benchmark barrel 26" 30-06 9.5 twist pre fit for SSG 3000. 150 rounds
$450 I paid over $750 new

I would like to see the 30-06 barrel go with the rifle, or sell first. Brake not included.
This gun is not allowed to be imported so a guy can't buy new anymore in the US. It comes with a hard case and cleaning kit also.
The stock has an aluminum mini chassis embedded in it.

Benchmark barrels can spin up a barrel chambered in any caliber that shares the 308 bolt face for this reciever. Long action or short action rated cartridges. They come cerakoted and the correct profile to fit the stock.

Check them out here. http://benchmark-barrels.com/Benchmark_Barrels/Benchmark_Barrels_-_SSG_Extensions.html

It comes with a cleaning kit and the hard case. No tools that I can remember. I have a manual as well .

So it doesn't have the factory wrench for the barrel screws or the alignment tool? Are you currently selling just the rifle or you wanting to sell it and the extra barrel at this time?

I bought this new and It did not come with the tools you talked about. The barrel screws are 3 Allen head bolts and changing barrels can be done in just a few minutes. I think my chances of selling the barrel are higher if I sell it with the gun. I'll let it ride like that for a week or so then I'll consider selling separate.

Just as an FYI for everybody: the SSG 3000 has three small nuts that are reused from the original barrel in the receiver. They are hex nuts or torx. No specialized tools are required for installing a new barrel in that rifle.

it would be wise to use a torque wrench and torque the bolts according to the proper sequence. It is literally take out three hex bolts, remove the barrel, install the new barrel, close the bolt, torque the bolts in order.

Sig did not make this complicated.

I do have a bunch of go gauges and no-go gauges just to check stuff, but that is not required in this specific case.

Any round that shares the same base as a 308 cartridge can be chambered in a barrel and installed in SSG 3000.

The seller is pretty much giving you everything you need right off the bat

I change barrel on SSG 3000 with regular hex wrench. Hand tighten the screws (very tight but not to push to extreme). The benchmark 6.5x55 barrel on my SSG shoot one hole with my hand loads. The original OEM 18 inch 308 barrel shoots 0.5 MOA with Southwestern Ammo reloads. These rifles shoot!

Bump for a well made gun.
I have owned one. It will shoot. Buttery Smooth bolt and loved the 2 stage trigger. Still regret not keeping it and putting a different barrel in 6mm creedmoor on it.
