Just in case anybody is looking at this rifle you should know that not only are they insanely accurate, but benchmark makes for replacement drop-in barrels for this rifle that require you to remove 3 bolts from the bottom of the action.. easy peasy.

The stock on this rifle is the stock you want and it’s fantastic.

looking for a rifle you can change calibers in at a reasonable cost… This is it.

Agreed, these are one of the most underrated rifles ever produced. As said they are insanely accurate, have one of the smoothest actions, the trigger is IMHO slightly better than the TRG (smokes an AI or any R700 aftermarket trigger), the magazine system has a spring ejector for fast mag changes and being a single stack they insert like butter. Another sweet bonus is the action and magazine is long enough so you will never run into a length issue with any short action 6 or 6.5 heavy super high BC bullet, it is designed to use the 6.5X55 so a 260 with a heavy bullet is no problem at all.

You guys are making me wonder if I’m nuts for selling it ...
You are. It's hard to come across an SSG in the original McMillan stock instead of the second stock they used. As others have said, it's a fantastically smooth action. I regret selling mine years ago. I'd say keep it

I own the U.S. made version and will confirm that this gun is a tack driver - mine will generally shoot 1/2 MOA with FGMM. I have, on at least one occasion, put 20 consecutive rounds into a single hole, producing a group of approx. 1 MOA. Again with factory ammo.

Guys, this is a really underrated rifle. I own the U.S. version, which doesn't have as nice a stock. Gun has a smooth action, a great stock trigger, and as I said before these guns are absolute tack drivers.
