I just purchased a sps in 223. I am trying to fit it into a PSS stock. Is the x mark triger wider than the old style trigger. I cannot get the stock to fit the trigger appears to be to close to one side. Should I dremel the stock or find an old style trigger/.Should I use the PSS bottom metal or the sps metal.
Thanks Woody

Re: x mark trigger

The stock should be easy enough to dremel, if you have someone with a mill, the job will look more professional, but I have clearanced a couple stocks for the X-Mark and it isn't too difficult. I believe the bottom metal is the same (aluminum) for both of those rifles, so it won't matter which you use. Whichever fits better.

Yes, the XMark is wider. Put some lipstick on the axle right side of the trigger, slide the trigger down into the stock, see where the lipstick is and dremel the area of the black. HS stocks up to about 2 years ago were default alum block for the older 700 and when ordering, had to inform HS of the XMark.
