XLR chassis for Tikka T3 Tac A1?? (short action 6.5 CM)

I found some folks saying this WILL NOT fit due to the large steel recoil lug that Tikka Tac A1's have just between the barrel nut and receiver

also, if this DOES fit, what folding knuckle is best for the money?

It's not a recoil lug, that's where the handguard secures. If you are swapping chassis, that part and the top rail are all parts that make the chassis work together.
A Tikka has a recoil lug in the chassis, not on the action.

ok- so does the XLR chassis accomodate this giant protruding piece of metal?

That giant piece of protruding metal gets removed if you are putting it in a different chassis. You also want to swap the action rail as it's specific to the Tac A1 chassis.

Isn't this going to be extremely hard to remove?

Removing the action rail is likely the hardest part to remove due whatever adhesive they use on it.
Take your forend off and look at it. It will make more sense that way.

If you don't plan on ever using that chassis again, cut/grind it off? Problem solved!

That "giant lug" is removable. There is one screw (upper part, connects to picatanny rail), when you loose the screw, the whole part can be taken off. No need grinding anything.

Yes comes right off, no need for any grinding or whatever.

Most chassis have a recoil lug slot that'll line up with the slot in the base of the factory action. Then you can use something like this

Grinding ? Folks that don't know shit about the subject should shut their mouths . What a bunch of bullshit to suggest that .
