Looking to take advantage of the Black Friday sale from XLR. I want to build a Tikka 6mm CM this next year and want to me sure I get the right one. Guessing I should get the SA inletting, but I see they have both SA and LA for Tikka.

I don’t reload right now but will in the future. This will mainly be a hunting rifle shooting mono’s if it makes a difference.
Thanks for the help.

Unless you plan to build into some long action later it is best to go short action for the 6cm. You have way more options on magazines etc that way. If you are planning 6.5-284 etc then I would do long action. The creedmoor has plenty of room for even 115s in my arc magazines just off lands.

I don’t have the gun yet. I know it is a SA cartridge, but what I am not sure if is if there are advantages to setting it up as a long action like I think many do with the 300WSM. Thanks
If you get the long action chassis you have to have the long action bolt stop in the action and run the long action magazines.

Could probably part with my XLR Envy
