Sup guys,
I've been a fan of XLR Industries for a couple years now. Started with an element chassis for a Tikka, then went with a carbon for my 700 custom action build.
I've never had a problem with their chassis, solid price, solid performance, and they don't fail.
However, a few months ago I purchased another Carbon chassis, and I recently got the parts to build it out, then I noticed something odd. The carbon fiber handgaurd was canted a noticeable amount to one side, making the barrel look as though it were pointing to the left (which wasn't the case. The barrel was straight). It was too annoying to ignore, especially since I had a similar chassis that didn't have the problem.
I called up XLR and they (Nick) told me they would send out a new handgaurd interface piece (the piece that connects the chassis to the carbon fiber tube). Cool.
I then asked that since they were sending me a part anyways, if I could purchase the new version of their chassis buffer tube from them (my old one still used the castle nut) and yes, I made it clear that I would PURCHASE the new buffer tube. They said don't worry about it, they'd include it for free. I was pretty stoked about that.
Then, on top of that, a couple hours after the first call, they called me back and told me that they've decided to just send me a completely new chassis, just in case there was anything wrong with the inlet, carbon fiber tube or the chassis body itself, so they could figure out what was wrong.
Not ten minutes later, I got shipping notification that the new chassis was incoming.
They paid for all the shipping, including shipping the old chassis back, and gave me a free buffer tube upgrade. They were super friendly on the phone, and EXTREMELY quick and eager to make things right. They didn't even ask for pictures, they didn't blame it on me installing it wrong, they didn't ask me how old/used the chassis was, they didn't ask if I got the chassis through a 3rd party (i got it through another website) they just made it right, right away, and I'm damn pleased.
So I just wanted to get this out there! If anyone is considering an XLR product, buy with confidence! Not only do the products work well, but the people behind them work hard to back their products!
