Has anyone built a XM-3 clone or similar in .223? I was looking for something like one in .223 since I have a FA556 sitting here looking for a new host.

I have an M40A1 "mini me" in 223. I think that an XM-3 "mini-me" would be great especially since my 308 is in an A1-3 with a heavy 20" 1/10.
My only regret is that my 223 barrel is a chopped down PSS 1/9 and I can't shoot the 77s that I have loaded for my other rifles rifle. It is a pain to load 69s just for this one when my M4, service rifle, and MK12 Mod1 all eat the 77s.

This is the RECON223, which has a bit of an XM3-ish appeal to it.

Thinking a plain 223 might be a better choice for me, it would be nice to not have to reload for it if I didn't want to.
