I did several loads for my 270 Winchester this weekend. Someone gave me some XMR 3100 (AKA AA-3100) to use, with IMR 4350, IMR 4831, RL22, RL19.
So the XMR 3100 pulled a sub .5" MOA at +100yds. Unheard of for a hunting rifle, however I understand that Accurate discontinued this powder. Figures!!! Any suggestions on what behaves the same as the XMR 3100? thanks.

Re: XMR 3100 replacement needed... recommendations?

when I had a 270 my got to powder was 4831.I was able to push a 130gn NBT really well with it.my good friend was the one who put onto it.he had tested with may bullets and powders before hand and ended up sticking with 4831.to even add more to it he could just flat out shoot many of us with his hunting rifel ( Browning stalker )useing a 130gn NBT on top of 4831.I think the got to charge was around 54gn but not sure.
