Looking for feedback on how these compare to the US made non-illuminated version (outside of the new one lights up). I thought they were to be shipping by now, but have not seen any comments regarding comparison. Looking for first hand experience to comment on initial perception of quality differences, if any.

I’m so close to getting a Colorado version x18 for a paper punching range gun. But the price is the same as a New illuminated x30….when they ship

Have the illuminated started shipping?

I bought 2 from Liberty Optics last night.... I was unaware they switched to the phillipines..... Hope I dont regret this decision.
I think Scott said in another thread that he had a few come in/coming in soon. I emailed Burris a few weeks ago and they said they've been shipping em out pretty consistently. I've got one on order from EuroOptic and they don't have any ETA to give me :(

From the preliminary reports, the Philippine version is supposed to be excellent as for as glass quality and should hit well above it's price point. I've been waiting since March 2022 for mine to ship..... got the 3-18 SCR-2 (mil) ordered so I'm getting a lesson in patience! I will post when I get a shipping notice and follow with a mini evaluation once it arrives.

Where did you order yours from?

I hope so, I had the first xtr3 and it was good to go. I’m selling my last mk5, and for what it cost, even after military discount from leupold, I still got these Burris scopes for $700 less a piece.

Just got confirmation that the Burris XTR III Illuminated 3.3-18x50mm SCR 2 #201204 is in route to us. Pre-orders will be filled and we have others left to sell.

Might want to revise that description for the illuminated version. I’m sure it’s an honest mistake left over from the non-illuminated version, but not everyone realizes that.

Since I don't have one of the US made models, I can't compare the two. But, compared to my Steiner Military 4-16 (German made), and several Leupold older Mk4s, it holds it's own very well. Resolution is better than my Vortex PST Gen 2 3-15x44 and the reticle (SCR2) on the XTR 3 is actually usable at the lowest power setting. These are preliminary observations. At this point it is hitting way past it's price point. Craftsmanship is what you would expect from a top tier manufacture, color rendition is accurate to my eyes. More to come once it's mounted up!
