Suppressors Yankee Hill Phantom 7.62

Re: Yankee Hill Phantom 7.62

Make sure you get it from someone who has it. The last five took 6 months to get. Sound quality of the can is great for the price. No complaints on the silencers that went out.

Re: Yankee Hill Phantom 7.62

I have one with QD attachment. I use it on 2 AR15's, an AR10, FAL, M1A,2 single shots, & and my 308 bolt gun. It is not the quietest or the lightest, but I like it and have no complaints. I bought it because it was on the shelf and ready to transfer directly to me. I would probably have rather had the AAC 762SD because it is a lot lighter but I did not want to wait.

Actually thats wrong. Side by side tests here at our range..... with 2 308 bolt guns both with 18" barrels. I tested my 762SD vs Phantom. Phantom was noticeably more quiet to my ears and my buddies.

might be true if you have an early non-stainless steel phantom. The stainless steel phantoms have a larger bore. read the review (using a db meter) at silencerresearch.com

Re: Yankee Hill Phantom 7.62

THanks for the input fellas. It sounds to me like anything is a toss up if your guns threaded wrong or you get a bad can.
I purchased it and filed my papers. I just don't think you can beat it for the money. Also it is my understanding that all cans have to be OSHA approved with a decible reduction great enough so as not to need hearing protection. Maybe that's a myth but, If OSHA is involved I'll bet it's quiet enough for my instructional and recreational needs.
Thanks fellas.
