Hello once again, I have a few questions about a few knives. 

My use for thus knife would be ultilitairan (mostly anything for hunting that requires a blade) 

I would love to spend no more then $100, but I understand that you get what you pay for.

This is my first choice due to the lower price and I have always wanted a good Ka-Bar style knife.

Came accros this knife while looking over at Blackhawk! I hace had good experience with their other products so I was wondering about this knife and the one in the link below.

Ok, what drew me to this knife was that it looked like a Roman Gladius. But I do not think that I would want a double-edged knife for a ultility knife.

This knife along with the Blackhawk! listed above is at the very limit of my price range, but this knife looks like it could seriously take a beating.

I have heard alot of good aboult this knife, but the only thing that holds me back is the blade length.

I would like to know about this knife, I think that the slimness of this knife would be a dream to carry.

According to your needs I would have to say the Gerber LMF would suit you best. I have carried this knife for a while and so far have loved it. That being said I would suggest that you find a surplus Ka-bar and try it out also. You can find Ka-bars relatively cheap if you look in the right place.

You need to figure out what you will be doing with the knife.

Utility to me is using it in any way, shape or form. That means up to and including batoning. The Nim Cub thatg is mentioned is way to thin blade wise. K-Bars will stand up to that abuse, if you prefer that look. Gerbers look OK, but no mention of steel used.

RAT use 1095 and are heavy duty blades. They may not be stainless, but don't let that bother you. They will take the abuse, are easy to sharpen, and will last a life time.

Busse comes to mind, but their marketing and availability leave something to be desired, but there is no question about the knives they produce. Tough, EASY to sharpen. Enough said. They will destroy your budget though.

The Gerber LMFll uses 420HC Stainless and I am going to assume that the LHR uses the same, is this good steel?

I think that I have it down to the LMF ll, LHR, or a Rat Rc-6.

It is a very inexpensive stainless. Buck uses it in some of their lighter duty knives. I would assume Gerber knows how to heat treat, so it woould perform OK, but honestly, the RAT would be a better choice IMHO.

The LHR does indeed have 420HC steel. If you're looking for a hunting/utilitarian purposes, the LHR is the wrong blade for you. I'd suggest a ESEE RC-3 or RC-4, Fallkniven F1, Buck Vanguard or Gen 5, also any number or Bark River knives.

Top's Dawn Warrior is the nicest blade I have seen for utility work

The scalpel is pretty nice too, which is why I just went and got both at the same time....that little stunt got me cut off for three months

Holy Shit! I just looked at the link. I'm not sure what surprises me more: that kilt prices start at $187, or that the company that is selling them is in Seattle. I must have missed something.

with the price of the kilt you could have bought another TOP's.

I bought one of their Stormriders back in 98 (I think it was called a Firehawk back then but you tend to forget things after 12 years). Tough and heavy knife!

+1 TOPS knifes are gtg, i also like coldsteel knives for the money, i have one of their older fighting knives. and like it. as far as all goes utility knife. look at the tom brown tracker, top makes it as well. i would recommend the tracker jr due to the fullsize being a monster.

Probably too small for your requirements, but the ESEE Izula is a sweet little utility knife. Keep one clipped to my rifle bag and it comes in handy.
