Rifle Scopes Yet another scope opinion thread (please)

Re: Yet another scope opinion thread (please)

The originator/designer of the scope has had tremendous difficulty bringing these to market.
He contracts out to manufactures overseas and they have built junk. To his credit, he refuses to sell them and ships them back.
Go do a search on barf.com, they have several threads about it there.

Re: Yet another scope opinion thread (please)

I think that this scope it going to have a niche, but the reticle looks very busy (could be the picture) when the illumination is on. Too much color in a low light environment sucks!

I like the ability to do quick range finding, but this format is doesnt seem to me that it would be really practical for quick range finding. You are coming off the center of the scope too much at distance, which is time critical.

Also, my daughters .22 has a scope with the same magnification feature as this scope. Personally I hate that magnification set-up. I keep my daughters on 1x because it is not accurate, and causes bad parallax. parallax may not be an issue here, but unless I could hold it I wouldn't buy it off the internet.

I would look at the Nikon M223 if you were going to be putting it on an AR platform.

Its going on a Remington 700 .308 for short ranges (sub 300).

Yea, I haven't seen alot of these, the reticle design caught my eye and was curious about it.

Looks like a great design!

Re: Yet another scope opinion thread (please)

Mr. Verdugo is a great guy, he will not stop this venture until he gets it right.

We made some samples for him in the past, call him and see if he has anymore reticles for our scopes and we can build you one.

Yea, if I could afford a USO, I wouldn't be having this discusion!

I'd love to have a 1.5-6 EREK .1 mil, .1 mil windage, C2 or JNG Mil reticle, red illumination or a 1-4 with .1 mil turrets C2 or JNG reticle and red illumination.

No, I totally haven't thought about this 1,000 times!

Thanks,
