So I just got off the phone with YHM and for those of you who don't know and are YHM/GP fans like me; you will be thrilled to know they are on the way. Currently their FF forearms only work with DI setups. The bad news is we will have to wait 8+ months before we can get our hands on one. Just thought I would let you all know. Have a great day.

BTW is it possible to machine these forearms to handle a Gas Piston system like AA? I've seen someone do it for a UTG Forearm.

Re: YHM Gas Piston Forearms on the way.

Any handguard can theoretically be clearance'd for a gas piston conversion, it's just a question of, "if you subtract the amount of additional clearance needed, from the amount of material that's there to begin with, is what one is left with, a positive number, and if so, by how much"? A cut along the inside of handguard, that leaves little or no material over a short length, may be acceptable, however - assuming it doesn't significantly compromise the strength and rigidity of the handguard.
