Kinda silly and self-explanatory...but I've never done it, and wanted to know what to use and how to know when you're 'done'.

I'm putting his kit on my 455 and am ready for the shim. The spring part went together no problem.

He says that you may need to grind the front pin, and I see it is a little mushroomed. Since I'm not going to use this pin again, can't I just 'ram' it through?

I'm mostly kidding, but in truth I don't want to snap that trigger (I hear it is brittle).

What do I use...a dremel? drill bit? How far do I take it? Just sort of knock the edges off? Do I do both sides? (I'm guessing no)

Thanks for any tips!

I haven't done that trigger job but from the sound of it you will need to grind the mushroom a bit to allow the pin to come out without using excessive force. A dremel will be fine and I usually wrap tape around anything I don't want the debris to end up in.
