Well, the passing of Ted Kennedy did leave a tremendous void in incoherent alcoholic douche bags on the "D" side of the house, perhaps this is just Johnson "stepping up to the plate".

Mr. Johnson brings up a valid concern. Using my engineering experience, I created a small scale test (ala Mythbusters), with a pool raft and a sack full of gerbils. The raft is an identical scale model of Guam, measuring 24 miles by 12 miles by 7 miles by 6-12 miles at its most widest point. Following the addition of 8000 gerbils, the raft capsized too quickly for intervention to save the delicate ecosystem of the pool. Long term cleanup efforts are estimated to cost trillions to replace the pool filters and skim out the massive fecal spill.
Note: some unproven assumptions were made about islands in this analysis.

Prior to his election to the 110th Congress, Congressman Johnson served as a DeKalb County Commissioner in Georgia. He is immediate past chairman of the Board of Commissioners Budget Committee and is a past member of the DeKalb Community Services Board. He led the DeKalb Board of Commissioners/Board of Education Legislative Liaison Committee, where he was a staunch proponent for quality public education.
