Re: Your 2 cents on a SIG226-9-TAC (E26R-9-TAC-TB)
I too have the 226-9-TAC, and like it very much. In fact I bought it specifically to wear a YHM suppressor. My only problem if you want to call it that, is all the Sig Sauer documents say it is threaded with a M13.5 x 1.0 LH thread, and mine was not that way, it has a 1/2" x 28tpi barrel thread?? Don't know if I got a odd ball or if this was a documental mistake? Either way I am very satisfied, and my YHM Cobra Suppressor fits fine. I do have 3 other Sig Sauer pistols and a 556 & 522 Swat Quad Rail, all of which I adore, they work great and shoot extremely well, which is what a firearm is suppose to do after all. I would like to get a threaded barrel for my Sig 226 Elite 357 and 40S&W, but demand verses supply seems to be a problem. I will continue to try, and will let you know when and if I succeed. The 357 Sig is the best round I have ever shoot in a pistol, it has speed and weight, and is very accurate. I think this is a great all around combination, even if I am a 45APC fan for life. Probably the best suppressed round also.
For those that like 22LF and suppressed fire, the 522 is not a blow-back type mechanism, it used the same gas type system as the other 556 rifles, which makes it a perfect suppressor rifle, same feel as the 556, accurate and very, very quite.
