Suppressors Your 2 cents on a SIG226-9-TAC (E26R-9-TAC-TB)

Re: Your 2 cents on a SIG226-9-TAC (E26R-9-TAC-TB)

That is a very nice pistol, not too much to want after that. I have 4 226's, and love every one of them, 3 have TB's. They work great with cans as well. My X-5 is very accurate, will make a 1911 shooter shake their heads. Makes me look like a pistol machine!

With the research that I've conducted so far there is yet one negative feedback to come accross with on the SIG226.

With that in mind I proceed to purchase it. Once the sale is finalized and I get it back from my FFL, I'll post some pics of it.

Soon after I will be conducting research on a can for it.

Well... Here is my new member of the family.
I just picked her up from my receiving FFL. My apologies for the blury images.

Very nice... order up 5 of the Mec-Gar "regular capacity" mags with the +2 bottoms. I believe that is what Sig uses now. They work great in all my Sigs and run about $25.

Hope to pick up mine tomorrow, couldn't get the TB, but a barrel is easier than a pistol. 15 plus one is about all I am going for. Think the extended mag is a big hang up.

Sweet, is that the one with the short reset, improved trigger, and fuller beaver tail? I've been waiting to get one in P229. I have a threaded barrel on order from Firedragon, and a SWR Trident to put on it.

I too have the 226-9-TAC, and like it very much. In fact I bought it specifically to wear a YHM suppressor. My only problem if you want to call it that, is all the Sig Sauer documents say it is threaded with a M13.5 x 1.0 LH thread, and mine was not that way, it has a 1/2" x 28tpi barrel thread?? Don't know if I got a odd ball or if this was a documental mistake? Either way I am very satisfied, and my YHM Cobra Suppressor fits fine. I do have 3 other Sig Sauer pistols and a 556 & 522 Swat Quad Rail, all of which I adore, they work great and shoot extremely well, which is what a firearm is suppose to do after all. I would like to get a threaded barrel for my Sig 226 Elite 357 and 40S&W, but demand verses supply seems to be a problem. I will continue to try, and will let you know when and if I succeed. The 357 Sig is the best round I have ever shoot in a pistol, it has speed and weight, and is very accurate. I think this is a great all around combination, even if I am a 45APC fan for life. Probably the best suppressed round also.

For those that like 22LF and suppressed fire, the 522 is not a blow-back type mechanism, it used the same gas type system as the other 556 rifles, which makes it a perfect suppressor rifle, same feel as the 556, accurate and very, very quite.
