Your favorite wrestler and why

Re: Your favorite wrestler and why

Mr. T - I haven't really watched wrestling since then, it's hard to go back to the sport once perfection like that is seen.

Re: Your favorite wrestler and why

I can't decide.
I'm calling it a tie between these two guys.

Midsouth Wrestling was the top of the sport, during my youth. I concour with your picks, Teppo-Ka.... JYD was my favorite, because of the Thump.

The Sandman - Because was simply the definition of cool.

Shawn Michaels - He was more popular with the ladies, but his entrance used to crack me up how he would come out like a male stripper. Plus I used to have his theme music as a ring tone and it annoyed my teachers.

Konnan - Loved his cholo act he always put on. It was cool and funny at the same time.

Re: Your favorite wrestler and why

Duke "The Dumpster" Droese- Because he carried around a metal garbage can and called himself "dumpster".

Hacksaw Jim Duggan- Because he hits people with 2x4s.

The Bushwackers- For their style.

Re: Your favorite wrestler and why

George the animal steel, COCO beware, the junk yard dawg, ravishing rick rude, million dollar man, Brutis the Barber Beef cake, hogan, or Val Venis.

The animal and hogan were my all time favorites, but Val Venis was up there, even though he was short lived.

I also cried the day hulk hogan lost his belt, F the ultimate warrior.

Re: Your favorite wrestler and why

1. The Moondogs - They would beat your ass with a bone and then chew on it.

2. The Fabulous Ones Stan Lane and Steve Kern - Made pimping look ridiculously easy.

3. Jerry The King Lawler - Pulling the strap down on his wrestling panties gave him superhuman powers.

Re: Your favorite wrestler and why

screw Sgt Slaughter, he's a piss of shit, i know there all actors, and its all a male soap opera, but the shit he spewed about our soldiers during the Gulf War was as fucked up as you can get.
i like Stone Cold Steve Austin, an Terri Runnels, she could not wrestle for shit, but she also could not keep her cloths on.

Actually Flair is not retired. He is now on TNA thursday nights. Along with Hogan, Mick Foley, Sting, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Dudley Boys, and Nasty Boyz. Pretty good line up.
But I would agree Flair is my favorite of all time. Give that guy a microphone and listen to him go to work.
Another one of my favorites and definitely the toughest is Terry Funk. The guy is torn to pieces and should have had both knees replaced decades ago, but he still hobbles out there and puts on a great show.

Mr. T is the worst. He was not even a real wrestler. He was a celebrity brought in and sucked. Listen to some of Rowdy Roddy Pipers interview about how terrible he was to work with.

Sorry, but all of the names mentioned are/were professional wrestlers. Just because it isn't an actual competition it doesn't mean they aren't wrestlers.

Not sure what you trying to say here but, Hogan never WON any gold MEDALS. Kurt Angle however does have 2 olympic gold medals and wrestles on TNA.

If you honestly think Slaughter is a piece of shit you are what is called a mark. He was doing his job as a heel(bad guy) and did a damn good job at it. If an actor plays a terrorist in a movie do you hate the actor?

I can see there is a lot of good taste on the hide when it comes to wrestling. Everyone mentioned good wrestlers and I am surprized to see no one has said Golberg, who is probably the worst ever.

Re: Your favorite wrestler and why

This thread lasted longer than I thought it would....gave me time to think back to when my grandfather took me to the Lynchburg Va. Armoury to see "the Great Bolo". Must have been about 1956.
