Just got done lowering my blood pressure after reading this article from the leftist rag, The Atlantic. The author painstakingly articulates the main issue with not being able to overcome COVID is because of pesky things like individualism, and not trusting the government 100%

The actual URL of the article:

    "theatlantic.com/health/archive/2021/06/individualism-still-spoiling-pandemic-response"

    99% survival rate. Not 50, not 65, not 85.

99% survival rate......and I'm supposed to "trust" something developed in under a year from a government that fucks me over every chance it gets to further enrich itself and increase power?

The worst part of this "pendemic" is not the people that died from it. Tragic, yes. The WORST part is the foundation of shit that it has laid for everything moving forward from here.

Note that the Atlantic takes down the paywall for Covid 19 propaganda.

Interesting that they are defining "public health" as other than medicine....separate.

They are really not MDs but trained beureaucrats that speak "public health".

These are going to be the Kommisars.

They willl be trained in controlling the herds under the rhetoric of "it's for the good of all".

They have never healed or treated the sick but empowered through govt they will control the economy, infrastructure and people.

Gov will play dumb and say "Well Dr Fauci says so.....it's science."

Real doctors will be muzzled. You want to work in govt medicine "shut the fuck up".......thank you John Roberts.

I worked at the Harvard School of Public Health while going to college. I would paint dorms while on my summer break.

The HSPH students tended to be Asian.

If the cleanliness of their kitchen was any indication individual health, let alone public health, health was of no concern.

We painted over layers of peanut/cooking oil that sprayed the walls of the kitchens and even after sweeping and cleaning floors it was still a disaster after cutting baseboards getting up all covered with human hair.

Its the Harvard T.H. Chan School of public Health since 2014 with a $350 million dollar payoff for China to have more influence around the world. Disgusting.

They tore down the old school brick "townhouse" style apartment block that was the HSPH about 2014 or so.

I havent been down that way recently but im guessing there is a new high speed building to reflect the commie future.

These people are all stool pigeons. Period.

    My recent readings have been:

12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson

    Which led to:

One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich
    The Gulag Archipelago (all volumes)

Yesterday I watched the movie "V for Vendetta" for the first time in my life.

    Just today I finished:

Going Home by A. American, Book 1 of The Survivalist Series. OMG fucking amazing. I'm hooked. Ordering the rest on e-book because I'm absolutely not gonna wait for 2-3 weeks for the books to arrive here in Baghdad.

So, all this socialist/commie/fascist/totalitarian propaganda bullshit really starting to wear on everyday folks. I can see it. I can feel it.

    We're gonna win this.

"You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it.

Have you ever wondered if the Wachowskis, the leftists they are, realize they were creating films that indicted the evil system they seek to perpetuate?

Maybe becausethey know the system is plagued with issues. Kinda like George Orwell, who was a socialist, but did Animal Farm, 1984, etc.

    Seems to be a thing.

Leftists lies and bullshit are just exactly that, lies and crap. 99% of what that article says is complete garbage.

Washington state for example is 3.14% black as of the year 2020. Covid deaths among blacks? 3%

Washington state Asians are 9%, Covid deaths are 8%.

Washington state honkies are 68%, Covid deaths are 70%. So the majority white population has been persecuted by social justice warriors at hospitals and whites are being murdered at a greater percentage than they are in the population.

"Collectivist countries" i.e. Communist, socialists, evil dictatorships and countries with no civil rights wore masks more than free people of the world. I believe that. BUT, even Dr. Fauci said stinking masks do not work. Shit, everyone since 1919 has proven masks are a horseshit solution that does not work.

"In 1919, Wilfred Kellogg’s study for the California State Board of Health concluded that mask ordinances “applied forcibly to entire communities” did not decrease cases and deaths, as confirmed by comparisons of cities with widely divergent policies on masking. Masks were used most frequently out in public, where they were least effective, whereas masks were removed when people went inside to work or socialize, where they were most likely to be infected. Kellogg found the evidence persuasive: “The case against the mask as a measure of compulsory application for the control of epidemics appears to be complete.”

Washington state honkies have the highest vaccination rates at 67%, Every other racial group lags far behind even though the vaccine is available to them in far greater numbers and far earlier than it was made available to honkies under 60 years old. It is literally free at any grocery store pharmacy, drug store, welfare clinic, Costco, prison infirmary, doctors office, every arena and coliseum, weed stores give free reefer for presenting a vaccine card, liquor stores give free malt liquor for vaccine cards, county health department gives shots free.

Simply put, the welfare and foodstamp crowd fails to get vaccinated because they are by and large, lazy worthless pieces of shit who will not make the effort. This is why we have to give them lottery tickets or dope to get shots.

Why not put blame where it belongs? On the Chinese for using Democratic money from America to create a virus for the sole purpose of destroying the Trump Presidency and stealing the 2020 election. This entire event was contrived and we have been lied to by the leftist media since day one.

We still have fully vaccinated assholes where I work who wear a mask all damned day even while they are alone in their offices. They only know it shows loyalty to their party masters, much like the swastika armband showed their grandfathers loyalty to their party masters in the 1940's. They cannot explain why they should wear them and they have no idea how it will protect them....................................but their master said wear it.

I agree with everything you said except the one word I changed above.

    We're gonna win this.

No, we're not gonna win this.

If you had watched V For Vendetta when it first came out and then expressed your appreciation for it on the average firearms forum, you'd have gotten eviscerated because it was "anti-government" and the Republicans controlled the White House and Congress at that time. Wanna guess how I know this?

Around that time, "our side" had crammed through the USA PATRIOT Act, set up the surveillance state, created the terrorism alert color scale, and was pushing crap like this:

    InDefenseOfInternment.jpeg

You could turn on the news and receive your nightly endorsement of shooting subway riders in the head for the crime of wearing a bulky coat, or hear suggestions that NY Times writers should be imprisoned for war crimes over the NSA/AT&T spying story. Lots of people were getting hard-ons over the idea of designating American civilians as "enemy combatants" and holding them in military facilities without due process.

So, after the last 20 years, I've seen what both sides will do when given power, and it's fuckin' ugly. Unless systemic measures are put in place to prevent corrupt tyrants from abusing the power that we the people have yielded to them in the name of security, we will not win - we will just lose at different rates depending upon who is in power.

The last time I was called a commie this often was when I was against the Patriot Act and going to war in Iraq.

Unpopular opinion: racial profiling is still reasonable in police work. It doesn't justify some of its excesses, but to ask cops to be blind to a certain characteristic that might have a high correlation with crime in a given area is stupid.

Right! Even if I disagree, I try to empathize. I've read a ton on Orwell, but never could understand how he reconciled his socialist ideals, with his writings. The best I can guess is that these leftist people really do want freedom, but they are deluded about how to go about it. They are duped by the promises of socialism, that we know are lies.

Agreed G.W.B. should go down in history as a crappy president, with B.H.O. being the absolute worst. Bush and the Patriot Act is the best example of sacrificing liberty for false sense of security.

He died in 1950. Very few people suspected what would happen under socialism by then. Lots of well meaning, smart people were duped. Not so much by communism.

You'd think folks would recognized it for what it is. The idea has been around for thousands of years, even if unnamed. The Bible, parts of the Apocrypha and recordings of Josephus tell us Nimrod did the exact same thing. He tried make his subjects dependent on the government as provider of all. Mens' utopian delusions have led to immense suffering over our history.

Well, going back to some of the points in this thread, I bet you 98% of the people here, and 100% of those who feel the need to enforce correct opinion, were dick hard on the Patriot Act, calling people enemies of the state if they disagreed, despite what we have seen over history when we allow in increasing surveillance state. It isn't like people are always good at analyzing issues when their emotions and hopes get involved.

Orwell had a big blind spot. Lots of people have big blind spots. It's very easy to tell; just ask if they think there is a group of people that, if put in power, will safeguard our rights. If they answer "yes" then they have a blind spot.

Quite honestly, if that is your job qualification for a politician, you are terribly naive. That is like asking a dogcatcher to do nuclear physics.

The public is naive, hence this shit continues to get passed with reassurances that it will only be used by good guys against bad guys.

I believe you. You seem like a straight shooter, and I have no reason not to. However, being on that side as a conservative, as I was, you know as well as I that thirty out of every five people who thought it was a bad idea then claim to think it was a bad idea now.

That's not necessarily the lesson I would take away from it, but it isn't untrue either.

Where I've lived for the past 53 years, I don't know anyone, but liberals, who thought it was a good idea. Most folks don't break it down to the basics of freedom vs safety. Society, media, government, edu system, etc., place way more emphasis on safety than freedom, over the past 40 years. Combine that with a the skewed teaching of history and we find ourselves, here and now.

Well, I don't know what to tell you. It was far more supported publicly by conservatives than liberals when it was passed, both in congress, in public opinion polling and anecdotally. The same goes for the Iraq invasion. You may live somewhere totally different from everybody else, but that is the history of the legislation.

Congress Republicans sold out and are just as evil as the dems, public opinion is what the media says it is, polls are made up. None of this is reality. The majority of Republican voters may very well have supported this nonsense like you claim. Most people are idiots so I won’t argue your point.
Well, the only groups who were skeptical of the patriot act, at the time, were the twin devils of the Bear Pit: Liberals, and those with post graduate education. The one group you single out as "not evil" in this country, the Republican voter, was the most supportive of it of all. You want to rewrite reality. Rewrite history.

I don’t know what history I would be rewriting. I’m fairly sure I didn’t argue your outcome. There are way too many back the blue conservatives that support a police state without even knowing it for me not to believe you. Fools.
Fair enough. It was like 90% support from self described conservatives. Both by polls, which you don't believe though they were quite good back then, and anecdotally. Of course, about 10% of that 90% admit it now, even to themselves, which might be a clue as to why things don't get better.

Yes, I recall. The republican party has no value, or credibility. Parties are a facade that people hide behind.

These were self described conservatives, not the Republican party. If you were around conservatives at that point, and were skeptical of these things, you were called a traitor, a terrorist sympathizer etc. Trust me. I was kicked out of a couple of organizations for it. I was literally thrown off of a corporate jet before takeoff. You can probably imagine that I was just as much of a pain in the ass then as now.

Lots of people make this claim today, but raising even the slightest concern over civil liberties back in 2003 was a great way to get accused of being a terrorist sympathizer.

I guess it's where I live and the folks I was around. Some wanted security, but didn't realize they were giving up Liberty. No one near me was hot about it. Those of us that knew it was a bad idea, weren't ostracized in any way.

I've said it from somewhere around the beginning and a lot of others figured it out as well.

When we started to realize that the initial reports from Europe, where we all thought 50M+ people were going to die were complete bullshit and then all of the hype and doom portrayed in the media didn't match up to what was actually happening and the final 'stake' the full court 24/7 press from .gov to take a drug, no one had any idea what was in it, for a virus you had a 99.996% chance of surviving......it became extremely clear as to what this was:

A global 'test' to see how far the populous could be pushed and a case study in how certain demographics will respond.
