World Events;
Terror partners Iran and NoKo are going to get outed bigtime, and the world is going to slap them hard. Nobody is gong to do anything about this until there are lots of dead Americans, and then, the pendulum will swing completely out of control. China's duplicity in this matter is going to reap hard lessons for all. India is going to become a valuable trade and security partner for the US, and a viable deterrent to China. Russia/Putin are going to have to deal with serious internal dissent. I see no way the USA can come out of this as a reigning world power, our song is sung; God damn Obama.
Gun Control;
It's a sham and a political plum. There is nobody in this country who doesn't already know this, and it's going to go whichever way draining the swamp goes. Meanwhile, Gun Owners are flat out done with tolerating any more Liberal/Progressive harassment in the form of garnering political gain based on this particular brand of hypocrisy. Backlash, baby; backlash...
The Swamp;
It's going down, because if it doesn't, we will be dealing with outright civil war. People, in general, are fed up with political expediency and unprincipled divisiveness. The swamp will learn to mind its manners or the People (Big 'P') will turn them into a grease stain. There's a valid reason for the Second Amendment, and we are very likely to find out just how much it's not about duck hunting, so much so as to be a surprise to everyone, ourselves included. While it's going on, this ultimate outcome of unbridled political divisiveness will weaken our Nation to the point where foreign military adventurism will threaten its very existence. THIS is the most real danger inherent in the resistance movement. I think it's time to make a few examples. Past time...
Ammo Prices;
Does anyone really care about this one? I don't. If you want it, you will buy it. Buy it cheap, stack it deep. I'm not a hoarder, I'm an investor; and my dividend does not carry a dollar sign.
Fuel Prices;
Same answer, except I don't have a way to invest in this one long term.
Stock Market;
I own no stocks. IMHO, they are just another big vulnerability, and who needs another vulnerability? I put my faith in friends, and not in big businesses. I could give a big doodoo what happens to stocks; it's my neighbors whom I worry about, because they do.
November's Election;
It won't be about what comes after, it'll be about what's gone before. If the Swamp doesn't drain, the People will rise, and elections will no longer be relevant. IMHO, Democracy is a failed experiment, has been for decades, and that outstanding bill is long overdue. The American Revolution was the birth of Worldwide Democracy. The Second American Revolution will be the birth of what comes after that.
Anything Else;
I'm getting damned old, and I'm glad I am. I am no longer up to the challenge of dealing with accelerating change. When I am gone, it'll free up useful space for some young person to do far more useful stuff than I ever could from this point on, and I'll no longer be getting disappointed in my fellow Americans. My generation is ultimately the one to blame for the current mess. We could have done better, we damned well should have, and I damn us all for not working up the necessary sweat.
Some day it'll be another generation's turn to judge themselves; and I hope they get to give themselves a better mark than we earned.
