I've always thought this. Which is why I don't talk about my skill sets, except with other shooters.

This was 1950s's Hollywood but does serve to illustrate the point about one's skill sets being used against them. It was certainly used against me in divorce court.

geocaching.............every time you go to a gun shop .............or rifle range .............big brother is watching .............be mindful .........and don't forget security cameras !

No surprise. Prosecutors want a conviction, they don't care about the truth, they have an outcome they desire, and the truth be damned. If they can take the truth, manipulate the context a bit, they will prosecute you for it. They will say they are in pursuit of the truth, but they sure as hell don't mean it. They're in pursuit of a conviction.

Leftists always try to blame anything and anyone for the problems of others on people who are not responsible. You own a gun and you were responsible enough to educate yourself on its use and care and therefore the non-living object has compelled you to kill.

Standard leftist speak,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,demand training to own guns and then insist the training is what drove you o kill or injure their criminal hero. Thus proving you are a premeditated murderer. As always a circular argument with no way to win.

I doubt anyone is surprised. Gov wants to add more training requirements through legislation, licenses, permits etc. Yet when we follow those laws they use it against you and say "why". You can't make this stuff up. It's insanity at its finest.

Opposing counsel will use everything you do against you and then make shit up to see if they can get away with it.

Train with firearms - you are a murderous bastard who dreams of killing people and wants to be ready when the chance comes

Don't train with firearms- you are irresponsible and if you had actually trained you wouldn't have put yourself in a situation where deadly force was needed to protect yourself against those three inner city choirboys who just happened to be carrying knives while asking you for bus fare to help get them to church...

Do what's right for you and if shit does happen tell the cops "they attacked me and I was in fear of my life and I will not give any further statements until I have consulted with a lawyer". Then stay shut the fuck up until you talk to a lawyer. Don't talk to your friends, don't talk to your family, talk to a lawyer...

A CHL instructor told me that they no longer provide scores to DPS for CHL renewals, for fear of "well if you scored so high/are so proficient a shooter, you could have just shot away the knife/gun, shot him in the knees etc. and therefore you are liable in civil court for XYZ".

Many police departments no longer have marksmanship badges for this very reason. Quals are either up or down. No scores.

Unless state law requires it, don’t even record the scores. A simple “pass” or fail is all that needs to be recorded. Just be happy with a participation certificate.

On a side note: I don’t even wear hats, jackets or shirts with gun club logo on it.

I will wear a Snipers Hide T-shirt from time to time...
