Thanks, guys. My near vision had gone to shit the last few years, so I need reading glasses. I still have perfect far vision, but I had been tempted to try one of the magnifiers. I didn't know there were stick on magnifiers I could just paste on my shooting glasses, so I'm going to look into those

I have the stick-on reading magnifiers as well but they only work on glasses that have large lenses. I wear Gatorz and I find more times than not, I am looking over the top edge of the frame so the stick-on magnifiers are too low unless I lift my head up to see through them. Trying to find a solution that lets you maintain your cheek weld can be difficult.

Those ridges are part of the Fresnel design that allows it to magnify. That is very strange yours are "cloudy" like that, have you contacted Tyler, maybe a bad batch slipped through

I threw the ridges comment in there in hopes of avoiding the “no wonder it’s foggy, you have fingerprints all over the lens” replies. I have not reached out to them. I know others had similar issues and all of the extra lenses that came with it are the same condition. It was not expensive and just thought I would give it a try. Thought about just putting in a clear piece and one of my adhesive reader lenses and see how that works out.

The ZCO imo was a little better in the fact it’s easier to get behind, better fov, better reticle, and seemed to cut mirage a little better. The TT is an awesome scope but the Gen2XR isn’t the best forsure. The turrets tho, phew, are phenomenal on the TT and I really wish the ZCO turrets were the same. For 1100 bucks less than the TT, I don’t think the ZCO can be beat.

Bill, I haven't tried anything yet. I keep looking at those stick-on lenses, but damn they're kinda pricey for what they are (says the guy with a $4500 scope on his $5500 AI, I know)

Other food for thought:

Theta is almost two inches longer (this actually affects where I can get a grip on the rifle when running my hand in front of optic)

Theta has some tunneling (if that sort of thing matters to you)

I have also experienced the stiff mag ring. I’ve noticed it’s not consistent. One optic might be tight and the other feels much better.

Not bashing theta. I like the optic overall. Just tossing out some differences that may or may not matter to you.

TT does not tunnel. The FOV changes as you zoom in/out during that very tiny bit of mag range. I forgot what causes what you're talking about but I think it's actually the outer ring of the reticle?

I am Canadian and I agree with this. I was sick to my stomach in 2015 when the liberals won a majority government. Had the same feeling when Biden got in. Oh and I have a few TTs, how many doesn’t matter, and which is better doesn’t really concern me, I’m happy with what I have, but I’m always interested in other’s opinions which is why I excitingly clicked on this thread.
