After searching and reading old posts, i think i have a specific question that wasn't answered. i have two zeiss conquest scopes.(3-9x40 & 6.5-20x50) so is anyone running either of these scope or know if they have enough elevation adjustment to have a 20 moa base and a 100 yard zero? thanks

Re: zeiss and 20moa base

not really trying to get to 1000...i have two 20 moa bases and just want to make sure that i can still have a 100yd zero on both guns in my signature for short range woods hunting and still get out to around 600 give or take a few for target and range shooting.... thanks for the reply! i thought it would be ok but I've heard that the 6.5-20x50 doesn't have much elevation adjustment so i wanted to be sure..

Re: zeiss and 20moa base

i bought LaRue's kit for the remington 700 (rings and base) it looks really nice, i haven't installed it yet,but it looks rugged. i was setting up both guns identical with the idea of swapping scopes for hunting and such and it looks like it will work awesome... seekins makes some really nice looking stuff as well and i looked hard at those as well as a few others...

Re: zeiss and 20moa base

I put a 20 moa base on my 300 rum and put the 6x20x50 zeiss on it. I am 10 or more inchs high at 100 and a little lower at 200. At 300 I am dead on. I can not get it to go any lower at 100. I am completely out of adjustment. I am going to take the 20 off and put a 0 moa base on mine to fix it.

Re: zeiss and 20moa base

I have a 6.5x20-50. I have it mounted on a Farrel 0moa base in Burris Signature Zee rings, using the 20moa inserts. It is zeroed at 100yds. I have shot it at 600yds, but haven't had the chance to go to 1000 yet. Just out of curiousity after shooting it at 600 I turned the elevation knob up to see how much was left. I had another full turn and then some. I don't remember how much it went past that turn because I didn't top it out and I felt another full turn will get me to 1000 when the time comes. (260rem, 26", HSM 123 Lapua,@2850fps)

Re: zeiss and 20moa base

RobertB, if you are asking me, I don't know. I never ran it from top to bottom to see. I never intended to shoot this particular rifle at more than 300yds. The opportunity arose to shoot it at 600 so when I was done I cranked the knob just out of curiousity.
