The Diavaris don't have a lot of elevation and if you're doing an ELR .338 rifle it might not have enough travel.

IIRC, the 6.5-20x Zeiss has about 22moa of "up" A 25moa base would (should) maximize all available elevation on that scope. Chance you won't be able to zero at 100 if that's a concern...

Ive got on of these and I like the ziess better than my other leupolds or burris's. I want to get a 14X one also now. Not sure if its the scope you want for the 338 only because Ive never shot one.
