So first precision rifle build! Have brand new in box direct from Zermatt Arms Origin short action i'm using for my 6.5CM build. Finished the build and was going to the range tomorrow to "break in the barrel" and zero the rifle. Tonight I decided to cycle some round through it to make sure it feeds, extracts and ejects correctly. Feeds and extract fine but does not eject at all. I'm using MDT frame and mags. I tried empty casing and live rounds with and without the mag. No ejection at all. Not 100% sure where the mechanical ejector is but I believe it is supposed to be in this pocket in the pic that is empty on my action. Before I contact Zermatt Arms I would like to verify that i am correct.

Go ahead and take it to the range. You’ll just have to finger out the cases.
You’re really gonna love it when you get the ejector. My Origin is my first blade ejection action. You can ease them out and remove cases with your finger or you can zing them out and nearly hit the guy on the next bench.

I dealt with them on the phone when I ordered because I sent my trigger to them to be timed to my action. They were a pleasure to deal with then and I'm sure they will take care of me.

Just a follow up. Call ZA and they were top notch customer service as expected. Sent me the ejector after about 10sec into the conversation, I installed and works perfectly. Love the Orgin action.
