Here it is, 18:30 and the first Goblin shows up for Trick-or-Treat!!! No others out on the street, just one.
WTF??? When I was young I would have had a bag full by now and a few windows soaped and all kinds of fun shit.
Too many video games or WTF. Other years would have 40-50 by now. This year nothing and I give good treats. Just got 2 more.
What did you do when you were young on Halloween? We were devious monsters and loved Halloween. Great times.
Lots of things I did then would now land you in jail, if caught, and would have then, if caught. FM
No more since the start. Halloween may be a bummer this year. Color me sad.

Haven't had one in the ~15 yrs we've been here. My kids never did it. Trick or treat, faces on pumpkins and similar is considered wichcraft at their school. They do a cookout and have games, but we haven't gone in years.

In my small town they do 'trunk or treat' where people go to a parking lot and hand out candy like that. Had my boys out in the streets like I used to and hardly any kids doing the same.

What's with parents taking babies out trick or treating? With no kids old enough to eat candy.

I have never got one at my farm, 1/2 mile driveway up hill through the dark woods. Not worth the haul.

We used to have bags and bags but now my son pulls in less than a lunch bag, but he had fun.

We had a ton. Aunt and MIL in town this week, so they manned the house to pass out treats while we took the kids out.

Kids cleaned up! I hate to guess how much candy they got. 12 lbs each easy. Buckets overflowed partway through both sides of the street, 4 blocks down, 4 blocks back. We had grocery bags they dumped them into for that.

One house had paper cups and box wine for parents and the neighbor gave us beers to start and near the end.

Fun night. 7 yr old was a vampire, 6 yr old a Ninja, and 5 yr old Cinderella. Momma’s office did a roaring 20’s theme today, so she was a blazin hot flapper (oh damn.....) and I wore a 3 piece black suit with a real bowtie and black n white wingtips.

FM, sorry it was slow. I know you love all the kids and seeing their costumes.

Well, we had 1 group stop here, of 5 kids aged 9 down to 2 1/2. They were ALL real cute, and were excited as heck. I gave them each little chocolate bars. That was at ~1900 hrs.

And that was it. Just that one group. Sad. But I DO live in a quiet neighborhood, on a 'dead-end-street' with empty fields on the other side of the street. I'm good with that, too.
