Looking for a new scope with a zero stop feature. Are all zero stops created equal? It appears to be very hard to find out details regarding construction and how they work. I assume that the designs and means by which the work differ from scope maker but is it of any concern? Does it matter which type or how easy it is to use or is it more about having one? I assume once it is adjusted/zeroed it doesn’t get messed with after that?

If you want a good zero stop, try the Nightforce line of scopes, either the SFP NXS series or the FFP F1

What's your scope budget?
I'm not sure I would base my buying decision on the design of the zero stop.
Stuff like tracking, glass quality, and so many other features are more important to me. Some are easier to set than others, but it's really a set it and forget it type of deal usually.

What makes the Razor better than the Nightforce? Any chance you guys have any pics of the zero stop feature. I seem to be having difficulty grasping how the whole concept works.

The RZR is sealed %100 from outside from outside elements at all times even when setting the zero stop. I'll see if I can find the link for the RZR zero stop set up. Usually the way that a zero stop is a bit of a secret so to say. You could call the mfg's and maybe they would explain it for you.

I like a zero stop that gives me room under my zero (about a mil or mil adn a half), but then again I dial for 90* prone shots.....

what scope your looking for depends on your budget , and the ''you get what you pay for'' rule applys here. i have a s&b ppm11 and the zero stop on that works great.no set up needed , when you put the turrets on after zeroing its autoatically set up +1 for kiss , it also gives you a few clicks under for leeway.

I agree on the S&B zero stops work great. They have set the bar high for sure and I am spoiled by owning S&B. Even so, I bet Hensholdt probably is pretty good though. I may try a Razor down the road some day.

Should I get a Porsche or an Audi if I'm primarily interested in having the best cigarette lighter? I like the design of the Porsche but I've heard the Audi's is better. I'll be mostly using with Menthols, but I'd like to try cigarillos as my skill improves...

I can help you with that decision. A new Porsche or Audi does not have a cigarette lighter or even an ash tray! So you are screwed. But, if you look at the Yugo it has both and it is much cheaper.

You're just jaded ever since you sold the Porsche to join the dark side. I wonder how much cash I'd have to kick in to get a Yugo in trade for my VW.

I'm not to sure who makes the best Zero stop or even who makes the best scopes. I have 6 USO Sn3 scopes in several configurations and am very pleased with how adjustable the zero stops are on the USO scopes. It can be adjusted from far below your zero to up to the zero. I prefer to have it a little below my zero.
