He quit after the whole fiasco with NF voiding warrantees over them.
I've got a MK4 M1 washer around here I'd be willing to send someone if they have the ability to use it to scale up cutting them again-they are just washers of varying thicknesses that go under the turret to limit its travel.

Take your turret off and go to the hardware/parts store. See if you can find a plastic (oil pan drain plug) or aluminum washer of some kind that will fit in there. All it needs to do is limit the downward travel to less than a full turn down from your zero. If you have more than 1 full turn you need a thicker spacer, if you can't get to your zero, file the thickness down till you can. If I remember correctly a NF NXS turret moves .005 per turn, so don't take too much off. If you do a washer is only about $.10.

I *thought* the MOA ones were about .010" (110 TPI) and the MilRad ones were .040"?

Just curious... Does anyone know why NF voided warrantees over a plastic washer placed on the outside of the turret? On the surface, that doesn't make any sense to me.
Sure, it might prevent some owners from upgrading to the NF supplied and installed real zero stop thereby costing them some potential revenue but I don't see how any damage could be done to the scope unless some Pyle tries cranking past where the washer would stop the travel. That would be a real bonehead move to try something like that though. I don't get it....

110 TPI are pretty fine threads .... I can't imagine it'd be that tough to mess them up.
The "void your warranty" claim was out there before NF was offering Zero Stops to regular folk (ie. non LE), so I doubt it was about lost revenue.

It could be, it has been a few moons since I measured one. Just measure the distance between the turret and the scope and note it, then turn one full turn down a measure it and the difference is the correct ammount.
I have all my NXS scopes set up with a spacer and 1000's of rds have been fired since I installed them with no issues. Just don't crank the hell outta the turret and you *should* be fine. YMMV

If running the turrets down lightly against a plastic washer ruins the threads then they would never survive what a lot of people put them through.
