Ive got 2 and I abuse both of them with no issues. And yes the lock is the same style as a Strider.

I jujst got mine today and WOW is all I can say. the blade and hande are phenom! I was able to get it on amazon for 186.00
The striders I have are a little better but IMO not 350$ more. I am very interested ot see how it wears as I put my knoves through the ringer for sure.
The assisted opeing is great. many reviews say it is slow and doesn't open it all the way - I guess they were expecting an auto knofe. It is by far the sharpest I have ever gotten out of the box.
Buy one of these with confidence.
