Rifle Scopes Zeroing Scope at 100 yards

When you guys zero at 100 yards do you do it at the scope's maximum magnification or something less. Sorry for the amateurish question. Also, will you generally create a chart as to how the zero deviates at 100 yards for each magnification, or is the difference just too small? Once again, thanks for all the help. Great Site!!!

POI shouldn't change for your crosshairs no matter what level of magnification. If you have any extra lines on your reticle (bdc, Horus, mildots, etc) the POI for those will change with magnification changes if you have a second focal plane scope

Thanks guys. Again, I appreciate the replies. Just trying to learn from the wealth of knowledge that is here. I guess the BDC that a Nikon would have is a different animal that should play no part in setting zero.

Bdc in an sfp scope like the nikon requires calibrating like you anticpate. Nikon has a manual available online that tells you what you need to do. Google nikon bdc reticle and download the pdf.
