Precision Rifle Gear Why can’t Steiner build anything that requires a battery?

Why is it that I have over a dozen RMAs of scopes and lasers over the last three years because of faulty electronics? This is really getting out of hand. On my 4th or 5th RMA of an IFS scope and about the same number of returns of a TOR Fusion laser/light combo that is currently being worked on yet again. I have 3 or 4 of the TOR Fusions and not one of them has not had to be RMA’ed.

I have never had this much difficulty with any manufacturer ever. Everything I have purchased from them with a battery I have had to return.

I finally asked them to just refund me on the scope since they didn’t even bother to test it more than 5 seconds. It is still screwed after they sent it back ($25 worth of shipping later). Not sure how I could be more frustrated with a company I really wanted to like and puts out nice (non-electronic) scopes. Waiting for them to tell me to go pound sand on the refund which I fully expect given their lack of interest in fixing their products.

MPA Hybrid or Ultralite cheek piece adjustment conversion?

I'm wondering if anyone has successfully changed the non adjustable cheek riser chassis to an adjustable with thumb wheels? I just picked up a used folding ultralite that has a fixed cheek piece and wanted to swap it out if I could. I see MPA has some spacers and a buttstock replacement kit I might be able to use but have to wait till Monday to call them directly about this.

Thank you.

To Catch a Thief

If anyone has access to any facial recognition technology and would like to do a brother a favor, I’d be much obliged if someone could find me a name to this fine upstanding citizen who stole my kid’s dirt bike. I know it’s a long shot but worth a try.

House of Representatives Passes Bill for Mandatory Military Registration of Young Men Between 18 and 26

Itching to get our young into a global conflict.

The amended bill states:

Automatic Registration: The Military Selective Service Act (50 U.S.C. 3801 et seq.) is amended by striking section 3 (50 U.S.C. 3802) and inserting the following new section 3:

“(2) This section shall not apply to any alien lawfully admitted to the United States as a nonimmigrant under section 101(a)(15) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101) for so long as he continues to maintain a lawful nonimmigrant status in the United States.

Scale recommendation

I currently have a RCBS Pocket 1500 and is terrible with the drift. Picking the powder pan up and placing it again shows drift as much as 0.3gr and goes back and forth so there's no way to judge what is the correct reading.
No drafts, wiped the thing with dryer sheet and as away from electronics as possible but the issue is still there.

Other than the beam scale, is there an electronic one that won't drift? Preferably with an auto trickler but not a necessity.
Budget is less than 300USD. That being said, I wouldn't want to spend 300 only to find out that I need to get a fx120 for reliable measure, so if I absolutely need to spend more, let me know and I'll delay my purchasing.

Thank you

Optics Multiple Leupold one-piece standard scope bases

Leupold standard one-piece bases. These were in a big ol box of shop clean out stuff, they could be a year old, they could be 15 years old. There may be a screw missing but havent looked close enough to confirm. I think they list around $35-40 these days, so the $25 price tag on them may mean they're vintage, which would totally make them worth a lot more. Of course. Or...be good basis for an "inflation in the gun industry" discussion.

(2) 55705 - Savage 110, right hand, long action, silver
(2) 50161 - Remington 700, right hand, short action, silver
(1) 50007 - Remington 700, left hand, long action, matte

$25each, shipped

Or if someone wants all five, $100 shipped.

Or trade for something cool. Actually, that'd be the best option

Optics Trijicon RCR

Trijicon RCR, light use. Was painted and stripped, 98% of the paint is gone. Fully functioning, nice dot, just overkill for what I bought it for. Full disclosure, one of the capstan screws cracked between two of the holes upon removal of the optic. I have emailed trijicon regarding replacement screws, but they also sell them on their site and it probably wouldn't hurt to just buy a new set (there are 3 different lengths for different pistols anyway). I do not have the box or torque card as I purchased it without them from somebody who had barely used it. Let me know if you have any questions. Only trades would be partial trade for a 508T x2 red or RMR, Monsoon ported M&P 4" 2.0 slide. I can send any additional photos needed.

$610 net to me
