    Unarmed personnel that are not enforcing the law.

    Australian Defence Force personnel helping with the COVID-19 outbreak across Sydney will have increased capabilities for the next six weeks.
    This will include assisting NSW Police with compliance, helping contact tracers, and delivering care packages to people in isolation, among other tasks.
    They will operate alongside police and will work across NSW but be based in Greater Sydney.


    Sydney has an average of 400+ cases a day

    Unleashing troops sounds more daunting . There's no guns pointed at you telling you to get back in your home. ADF was deployed in Victoria last year and there was no issue with it.

    Lol I'm not dodging shit , at the end of the day I've seen them working in Covid testing sites , state borders. Assisting police with contact tracing and making sure you are staying at home when testing postive. Too many people testing possitive and still going out spreading this virus.

    "Not kicking in your door for not wearing a mask." With the implication that using the military to enforce ridiculous, unscientific, oppressive lockdowns, that don't work for the stated purpose is ok. As long as they aren't invading your home. Fucking stupid ass shit that gets written.

    They are using the military to take away freedom from people. No they haven't started kicking in doors and rounding people up, yet.

    Just got back from Denmark, no one really wears masks. But if you want to get into some place like restaurant, etc you need corona pass, which means vaccine or tested within 3 days. Tons of place to get tested for free. I'm so over COVID anyplace.
     
    If anything us Victorians have had the longest lockdown in the country and still in lockdown now. Just got extended till September 2 for 20 cases in our state.
    Lockdown fucking sucks, I'm not suggesting it's a good thing and nor am I a covid denier.

    The world is pushing for the vaccine passport and that's what they're going to do here. They want to meet the vaccination quota before Xmas for these senseless lockdowns to stop.

    Perhaps you haven't been listening to the latest from the Tyrants that run the states there...

    Now when they hit their "goal" of forcing 80% of folks to get the Astra Vaccine or whatever, they are STILL planning on having restrictions until... covid is no more... which isn't going to happen.

    All the most vaccinated countries in the world are seeing the Delta variant being spread among "fully vaccinated" people....

    So that WILL happen there, or it will be the even more laugh at vaccines Lambada version or something else.

    Even the USA government is now admitting it will become "endemic" for years or maybe even decades to come.

    So you best buckle in for a long ride of oppression....

    Fuck knows how long this shit will go on for , no suprise for lockdowns even when full vaccinated. Look at Israel, going for 3rd dose and heading into lockdown. I'm not a doctor or scientist , I'm an electrician. I don't have the answers to what they want to do and what they will do.

    I'm pretty slow since my chemo and heart attack but if I can see it, it's gotta be pretty easy to spot.
     
    In not sure but the military is used a fair bit here , wether it's help with bushfires,floods, natural disasters. We certainly have different views and that's fine.

    Helping assist with natural disasters and offering assistance to people in distress is VASTLY different than "Keeping people in their houses" and "Manning show your papers checkpoints" and helping intimidate locals and backup police thugs.

    What you need is more people to spread the virus so you get some immunity built up in the country. The longer you keep the borders closed, the longer it will take to get back to a normal life. This virus is just another flu that we all need to get, so our bodies all have natural anti-bodies in our systems. Yes, some compromised people will die, just like any other flu.
