Re: What to build with a 6mm barrel For a .378" bolt face, I'd do a 6x47mm (.222 Rem Mag necked up to 6mm) or for a .473" bolt face, the 6x47mm Lapua.

Re: rem 700 bolt question Nothing to worry about. It's just that the bolt on that particular action has to move rearward a little for the sear cam to engage the firing pin head (cocking piece).

Re: Remington 700 Bolt Swap? It may not need any adjustment. If it will close on a "go" gauge and not close (or close with some bit of force) on a "no-go" gauge, it will be fine. If it won't close on a "go" gauge, or closes on a "field" gauge, then you have headspace issues.
