What do you hope will be revealed at SHOT Show? Or 2020 in general.

An accurate left hand .22LR precision rifle like the CZ 457 or Tikka T1X would be nice.

Gunsmithing 6mm Creedmoor OAL chamber problem???

Ok, well that's about the same then. Thanks for the input. Are you concerned with how much of the bullet is held by the case?

Gunsmithing 6mm Creedmoor OAL chamber problem???

I'm looking for some opinions here. I don't have any experience with the 6mm Creedmoor but I think I have a problem with my new barrel. I just installed a new 6mm Creedmoor prefit barrel on my Tikka T3. I've started working up handloads for this rifle and I've found that the overall cartridge...

Gunsmithing Rebarreling Tikka with prefit barrel - PVA vs Criterion

I think either will work well for you. I'm on my second Tikka prefit from PVA and have been very happy with them. I also have a Criterion prefit barrel on a Remington 783 that is tremendous. You can't go wrong with either.

Should a Hornady 6Creedmoor seating die work for 6BR???

Oh... well then I have no idea why they'd be different...

    Nucleus Light Primer Strikes

Just wanted to weigh in. I was having problems with light primer strikes on my first couple trips to the range. Only 50% of the rounds fired. I'm running a Timney 510 trigger for what it's worth. After reading through this thread, I completely tore the bolt apart. There was a liberal...

Should a Hornady 6Creedmoor seating die work for 6BR???

The shoulder angle is the same on the 6BR and 6 Creedmoor but a different angle on the .243 Win. I think that may be why it is a different seater number.

Should a Hornady 6Creedmoor seating die work for 6BR???

Thanks for the response steve123. That's what I was thinking, I just wanted to run it by someone. I've been reloading for several years but the bushing dies are new to me.

Should a Hornady 6Creedmoor seating die work for 6BR???

My gunsmith got my new 6BR barrel chambered in less than a week. I was planning on ordering dies for the 6BR but I didn't have them yet by the time I got the 6BR rifle. Being an impatient guy, I wanted to get that rifle out to the range. I had the idea that I could try my Hornady 6Creedmoor...

Shooters World powders - anybody use?

I've used the Long Rifle powder for 6.5 Creedmoor. I got decent accuracy but at 2650fps with 140gr RDFs. I couldn't get the higher velocity accuracy nodes I wanted out of it. RL16 worked better for me.

PRS Talk 6.5 / What Weight Do You Shoot?

I run 142SMK or 140RDF at 2825-2880fps. I don't think the lighter bullets have any advantage for me. Just loaded up some 123ELDs with imr4451 to test last weekend and got good groups at 2975fps. That doesn't compare very well to the 140 ballistics for wind drift.

    Budget Reloading- help please

I started out with the Lee Challenger Anniversary reloading starter kit and some Lee and Hornady die sets a few years ago. It got me started pretty cheap. Immediately I was able to produce ammo that was just as good or better than the match ammo I was buying before. My advice is to jump in...

Shoulder pressure, relaxing and recoil jump????

Yeah, assuming your feet are in a stright line behind your shoulders, if the rifle jumps left then your feet are too far right.

Shoulder pressure, relaxing and recoil jump????

If the rifle is jumping to one side, then it isn't recoiling straight back. You want your shoulders perpendicular to the rifle. Experiment with how you're behing the rifle and it should become obvious. If you're facing one way, the rifle jumps to the right; if you face the other way it goes...
