This is a load I'm working on for the 375 cheytac and I'm wondering which one you guys would pick to continue building off of.
They are strings of 5 shot groups.
I still need to adjust seating depth and I could also do a slight power increase/decrease
I'm using 390 Atips in a 1-8 twist barrel so I need to keep it below 2950 FPS or the bullets could come apart. So I can't go faster.
There was no pressure signs on any of these rounds.

I like the really SD and ES on the 134gr load but the 137gr has better groups and velocity.

I recently joined a range that goes out to 1 mile. Im putting together a 300WM build to shoot at that distance and it needs an optic. Im sure this is a debated topic, but Im interested to hear the experiences and reasoning from everyone on their preference of max magnification at that range.

I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know the extent to which both Marc at Spartan and Jim at Manners went above and beyond to serve a customer.

I recently put together a custom 7SAUM 20” Proof CF, LPA Fuzion Ti Medium (also great experience on the phone and with the product), Manners LRH Lone Peak Medium Inlet, Hawkins Hunter DBM, TT Diamond Pro Curve, SiCo Scythe Ti.

I had Marc chamber my Barrel based on the LPA spec and a Dummy round I sent with the 175 EH Seated where I wanted it. I received my barrel back from Spartan and my LRH (swamp camo 14” LOP) shortly after. I took all my components to a local shop to have the pillars installed and skim bedding……. Short story long it was a disaster, there was bedding compound in the receiver and the barreled action was misaligned in the stock. I was devastated and disgusted as this was my no compromises custom hunting rifle build.

Anyway I communicated with Marc and Jim about what happened these company’s went above and beyond to fix a mistake they did not make. Marc handled all the logistics, Jim put the stock back in his fixture and removed all the bedding / returned it to like new spec, shipped it back to Marc who pillar and skim bedded it perfectly. Cost to me $0…… these men and these companies are outliers and have my business for life. Pictures of my rifle and targets to follow shortly.

Has anyone replaced the thin Pachmayr pad with a 1" decelerator or something similar? If so which one did you use?

The distance between the underside of the forearm and bottom of the butt plate which sits on the rear bag is 5". I want a new front bag strictly for bench rest. So should I look for a bag where the underside of the forearm will sit 5" higher than the top of the rear bag for level shooting. However that probably wouldn't be the best for uphill shooting as the butt plate won' go any lower. Downhill, no problem as rear bag can be on its side or straight up. Perhaps a front bag that that flips over or turns would accommodate . Also would appreciate any recommendations as to type and brand of front bag.

Hello,

I would like to get some solid information about how to make the Atlas PRS bipod perform like new or better. At the moment the knob makes a sound when tightened and this really is not a good thing when moving.

I might be shooting from any level surface to natural surfaces that never are in level. So for my use, I would prefer to switch between very stiff to just stiff with a turn of a knob.

I decided to do this by myself because I live far, far away from Atlas shop and the knob is in loose condition from years of use.

Here is what I know from having already read about this issue and then applied them just few minutes ago:
-The plastic cover is in place by friction and can be just pried off
-The first nut is in left hand treads
-The second nut is in right hand treads

Can somebody tell me:
-What does the first nut do? It looks like I can improve the bipod just by tightening it but it still leaves the knob to be very freely moving and wobbly. So it looks like the washers are too worn out and need replacement or one more added there.

-What does the second nut do? Because it was not tight either and I assumed it was supposed to connect the whole thing to the base. -Just noticed the knob adjusts the second nut.

-Do I oil the washers or not? They were quite oily when I took them apart.

Been stalking the forums for a while now especially the PX. Decided to join finally. Am an amateur long range shooter have a lot of gear to buy yet and things to learn.

Currently setting up my 7mm rem mag.

Going to dabble some in the ELR world and have decided to spin up a 300PRC and a 300NM. We don't have many opportunities where I live so these calibers will meet my needs.

My question is what's the consensus or is there one on primers? I see where some are using LR primers and some are using magnums?

My goal here is like everyone else in making a load with the lowest SDs and ES possible, appreciate the responses.
