GAP M40A1 and M40A3 built on USMC return stocks by Eric Reid

I’m selling two M40A rifles built by Eric Reid at GA Precision (“fireplug” armorer’s stamp), circa 2005. I am the original owner of the M40A1 and later purchased the M40A3. Both of these rifles are built on USMC return stocks furnished to GAP by McMillan, part of a unique offering during that era. At the time of their build, both rifles met USMC specifications, according to George Gardner at GAP. The A1 has fired approximately 100 rounds and the A3 roughly 500 rounds. They have the original mil-spec barrels from GAP.

The M40A3 was built on stock #4 in the image below. I've also owned and sold another M40A3, built by Eric Reid on return stock #7 in the image below.

At this time I have only these two GAP M40A rifles for sale; the prices do not include any optics, scope ring mounts, bipods or other accessories. The tan vintage MRT leather sling on the M40A1 is included with that rifle, as well as the Picatinny rail and one magazine for each rifle. The optics in the images may be offered for sale at a later time. If you’re confused about what’s included, please send me a PM for clarification.

Random question i have the ability to pickup a new seekins ph2 barrel in 300win. I already have a ph2 chambered in 300prc. They share the same bolt face and action length. I'd have to look at feeding from the 300prc mag. What adjustments would have to be made after swapping barrels. I'm just trying to see if it would be a worthwhile pickup without too much fuss. Anyone play around with long gong matches and see what’s your experience been like? Is there anything I need to know before showing up besides the basics of know your gear and you ballistic data.
