Emotional roller coaster: 6 powder droppers in < 3 years!

Waited on ATV4, sold 2 RCBS chargemasters in 2022

Got ATV4 Spring 2022. Wait! I need a shim? It sits precariously atop the stock scale cover which was not made for weight atop it? the motors bind up over 90 degrees? F-this I'm selling and it (at a small loss) and getting this awesome supertrickler that's coming out!

SuperSpiller comes out. I become a beta-tester with a guy named AH. We test HUNDREDS of software iterations. There is no software fix for that stupid vibratory tube and its temperature sensitivity. I sell it, in anticipation of the Ingenuity Precision in FALL 2023.

The IP is delayed for YEARS! AH sells me an ATV2 (with V3 software) to get me by, 6 months AFTER the advertised IP release (summer 2024). What a primitive POS! I struggle along, awaiting the IP. I polish the trickler tube, I change the belts, I superglue loose parts....But it's never quite right, and the IP never comes....It's now early March, 2024....

So I buy ANOTHER V4, which I received today. Easy to set up. good instructions. Still sits atop like a house of cards. But an elegant machine with great software, and easy peasy bluetooth, and an intuitive App!

After all this frustration for almost 3 years, it is like ECSTASY dumping charges. It just WORKS! l'm in HEAVEN!!! (I fed it AR-COMP, easy test, no fat stick powders like H50BMG, RL50, or n570, to kill this buzz!)

But now I've dumped 100 charges, and I have to empty this fucking thing. Wait, what? OK, take off the hopper. Now what? unplug the fucking wire? WHAT? Shake it like a shank-n-bake chicken? What about these windows? These stupid fucking "windows" on the front and the rear? Oh my fuck, now there is powder all over every-fucking-where and I remember why I sold this POS almost 3 years ago!

But, TBH, this is the one I will keep. Maybe even after IP full system comes out...get another scale, run two of them for different powder morphologies....?

Maverick, Magnus RR or HuxWrx Flow 762 for PRS

Want to get a suppressor for PRS shooting. Shooting a traditional PRS gun - heavy bolt action. Not so much a suppressor as much as something that will control muzzle flip so I can better spot my shots. Will not shoot with a brake which is what 90% of what PRS guys do. Already losing my hearing.

Anyway, considering Area 419 Maverick, ThunderBeast Magnus RR or HuxWrx Flow 762 for PRS. Don't like that the magnus is not modular (cannot change length or shoot w/ or w/o brake) so in that regard prefer the Maverick. Somebody I shoot with has a Flow 762 which he likes a lot and says that he can spot all of his shots with it (heavy PRS rifle & 6.5 CM).

Looking for comments from those who shoot PRS or have experiance w/ the listed suppresors.

Rifle Scopes Scope riser on a prs rifle? i have an eye relief problem

Evening gents. Im setting up a rifle, picked up a ZCO527 for it and I'm struggling to get proper eye relief. It seems like a lot of guys have the opposite problem from me, I'm 6'4", long neck, long arms, but with the way I interface with the gun I can't get the scope back far enough. I'm setting the gun up for shooting barricade 90% of the time, and I normally use around 14.5" LOP.

Im considering buying a pic rail with an overhang so I could scoot the mount back further. Leupold "mark AR", Scalarworks "fuse/01" and PRI are what I've looked at as possible solutions. I'm a little bit hesitant though because this adds complexity, more machined parts, tolerance stacking, things to come loose smd shift etc. Does anyone have experience using a riser like this on a PRS type gun? Any problems with it? I imagine it'd be fine but it gives me the ick as the kids say. I know too many CNC operators...

Another option is to have a scope base custom made that gives me a few more pic rail slots to the rear but that'll be a PITA.

I've never had this problem before so I'm a bit vexed.
If anyone has suggestions or experience using a riser on a precision gun lmk I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Is it worth reloading precision ammo on a single stage versus progressive press?

I currently reload bulk calibers (9mm, 45aarp, .223 and .308) on my Dillon 550. I am wading into the waters of 6GT and was curious if it is worth getting a single stage press to reload that on. If so, how does the RCBS Partner Press compare to the basic Hornady Lock and Load? My grandpa has the RCBS that he said I could have, but the Hornady can be found cheap and I like the idea of the quick swap bushings so I don't have to change stuff around every time.

No one panic , elite athletes dying in their prime is totally normal

Another one to add to the 45,000 or so young athletes that have “died suddenly “ in their prime - if only we could find a common theme, one thing , one new thing introduced like some kind of new performance enhancing drug or some experimental pharmaceutical? Any one have any ideas ?

Thorroclean & Bronze Brush Bore Cleaning Result.

Anyone that’s concerned with bore/barrel cleaning has read or read parts of the quite dynamic but turned a bit dumpster fire thread @Frank Green put out about abrasive product use for barrel cleaning. There’s been a couple other threads pop up lately in addition.

I get that Frank had a valid concern & appreciate his thoughts & advice on the matter. What I got from the thread is Frank didn’t have a control barrel by which to fully support the hypothesis that abrasive cleaners ruin barrels.

Back in 23’ I got a new Benchmark barrel and began cleaning from the start with Thorroclean. I cleaned after 5,20,50,100rnds and then every 100rnds thereafter. Throw in some end of season cleanings too.

The barrel has been cleaned with Thorroclean about 12-15 times in 1000-1200rnds. Dewey no harm oversized for caliber brushes. That takes out the carbon ring same time as the bore cleaning.

So, I wanted to experiment with a pristine new custom barrel, cleaned with standard process of barrel cleaning, not some weirdo with a drill.

Here is the before/new barrel groups, the first 15rnds fired, 3 five round groups out of the barrel:

10rnd group fired last week and after the 12-15 cleanings & 1000rnds with Thorroclean:
